Chef Dayn Smith and Nancy Moon Smith moved to Virginia in 2006, and have been close friends with Lorin and Dietlinde Maazel ever since. As patrons of the arts and lovers of classical music and opera, they provided accommodations for singers and musicians during the first two years of the Castleton Festival. Over the past five years Glen Gordon Manor has played an increasingly significant role in supporting this series of operas and concerts. In 2014, we are excited to be partnering with the Festival to bring fine dining to Castleton, complementing the musical experience with culinary delight. Chef Dayn Smith is offering multi-course dinners in the elegant settings of the Great Room and Terraces of Castleton Farm’s Theatre House prior to each dazzling performance.
